George Lewis Brinkley, Jr., was born February 11, 1923, in
Murfreesboro, Tennessee. On March 10, 1945 he married Martha Jane
Wheatley, born February 28, 1923. They were married in Shelbyville,
Tennessee at the First Methodist Church, Rev. H. E. Baker officiating.
Lewis was an Administrator in Program Management Office at Teledyne-Brown Engineering,
located in the Research Park in Huntsville, Alabama, for 18 years before his
death on
12 June, 1979. He was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville,
AL.

Lewis Brinkley, Jr., organized an orchestra in his later high school days. The band became popular and played throughout middle Tennessee for several years. |
