Some information about Jodie as related by Randall Harley on August 7, 2001:
Jodie
Dotson, our Nashville cousin was 97 today. She gave me a bit of her family
tree when I was visiting her recently.
Her mother was our grandmother's younger sister. Dora was her name. Dora
mamrred Joseph Mann and later on his death W. R. House. Jodie May and
Sophia Eugenia were her children. Jodie married Odie Dotson in 1921. They
adopted a child who was killed as a young boy when he touched some machinery
that had a live electric cable on it during a severe storm. This was in Cowan,
Tennessee. Odie worked for the railroad. He got a nice pension from
the railroad when his arm was smashed between two railroad cars while he was
working. Sophie married a Wesley Neal and they had four children: Jerry, Marie,
Albert, and Billy. I didn't get all the names of their children and
grandchildren. Most are here in Nashville. Between Lena and Dora ,
there was Kate Treiber. Kate married a John Lauper who lived in Nashville and
worked on the railroad. I remember visiting his wine cellar which was through a
trap door in one of their rooms. Their children were Myra, Walter and Fred. Myra
married Buster and had two children Minnie Marie and John.
Walter had no children, and Fred
had three children. I can't remember Myra's husband's last name. But I
remember that he was a really outspoken person. Mother and our family laughed a
lot at his remarks.
