Jean Jackson is the daughter of Bob Bowling's sister.  Her dad was a local barber in Murfreesboro.  Her mother died of tuberculosis and Jean was sent to an orphanage at a young age.  Jean was to have been adopted by her aunt and uncle who lived in Chicago.  They had come to Murfreesboro and were going back to Chicago with Jean to adopt her; on the way back home there was a traffic accident and both her aunt and uncle were killed.  Jean lived with J. H. and Lena Brinkley until her marriage to Forrest Clay McLean on July 19, 1952.  They have three daughters who live in Chicago; Sharon, Pattie Sue, and Anna.
