Excerpts from Katherine Thorstenson's Obituary Guest Book

Sorry for your loss.
My wife was the daughter of Emma Thorstenson Olsen. I would like to make note of her passing on my web page. I would like to have a picture if possible. The ones I have are very old.
We are sorry for your loss.

I met Katherine while working at the Baptist Home and loved to sit and visit with her. Her bright, fun, witty attitude made a lasting impression on me. She had spunk, even at 100 years old!! I loved to listen to stories about her life and will miss stopping by to see her very much.

Our family called her Katie. She was our neighbor and was my first piano teacher. I am one of the Patrie kids. I think of her often, as I am now a full-time piano teacher in Dodge City KS.

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF KATHERINE. I DID GET THE CHANCE TO VISIT HER IN FEB. IN BISMARCK. MANY FOND MEMORIES OF HER GROWING UP IN BOWDON. SHE GAVE ME PIANO LESSONS. SHE WAS A GOOD TEACHER,I WASN`T A GOOD PIANO PLAYER. I THINK OF HER WHENEVER I SIT DOWN AT A PIANO. SHE MADE ME A CLOWN SUIT AND A CHEF`S HAT AND APRON WHEN I WAS IN THE FIRST AND THIRD GRADE WHICH I STILL HAVE. MY SON`S WORE THEM WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG. I ALSO USED HER CHILI RECIPE IN A COOKING CONTEST AND TOOK FIRST PLACE. I WROTE AND TOLD HER ABOUT IT AND I RECEIVED THE NICEST NOTE FROM HER WHICH I STILL HAVE ALSO. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL LADY AND SHE WILL ME MISSED GREATLY.
